Since moving to Exeter, I’ve been able to work on longer stories and I’m thrilled to bring you my first novel, The Unwritten.
Over the years I’ve read at various poetry readings around the capital, with a headline slot once at the Poetry Café in Covent Garden, and was lucky enough to have five poems published in 2019.
There were lots of creative adventures to be had in London. From playing bass guitar in a band, to amateur theatre that went, for one performance only, to Stratford-upon-Avon’s open-air stage. From getting onto the longlist for the Funny Women Awards for stand-up comedy, to completing an acting diploma at City Lit. Throughout it all, writing was a constant, but with the grind of the daily commute, I really only found success with short-form works.
I grew up in Essex, England and in 1998, graduated from UCL with a BA in Philosophy. I stayed on in London for the next 22 years and, from then on, retained an interest in the philosophies of Mind, Consciousness and Time.
